Najgorsze jest wstawanie. Budzę się, zanim zaterkota budzik. Czuwam w oczekiwaniu na świt.
Jedziemy w góry, na Słowację. Pakuję kanapki, banany, herbatę z miodem i cytryną na rozgrzewkę. Ruszamy. W Krakowie mgła rozlewa się w ulicach.
Piotr mówi – Będzie dobrze, tak jest tylko tutaj. Sprawdzałem prognozy, murowane słońce.
Zatrzymujemy się i tankujemy na stacji . Lubię je, ich metaliczny zapach benzyny i kawę z automatów.
Jedziemy szybko, jesteśmy coraz bliżej granicy. Droga jest pusta, na widnokręgu, zamiast zarysów Tatr, kłęby chmur i mgły. Mijamy miasteczka szare, nierozbudzone, tak jakby zatrzymały się w pół kroku. Zostawiamy je za sobą i wjeżdżamy między zbocza pokryte bukowymi lasami ciemnymi czerwienią dogasającego ogniska. Wysiadamy przy leśniczówce.
Pierwszy haust powietrza w górach oszałamia. Jest zimne i świeże jak wiosenny ogórek. Już czuję wilgoć lasu i słyszę huk spadającej na kamienie wody. Dalej w głębi pachnie gorzko zgniłymi liśćmi i mchem.
Przede mną, prawie pionowa, złotobrązowa ściana z wystającymi kośćmi jasnej skały.

Najpierw idziemy razem, potem rozdzielamy się i znowu spotykamy. Piotr jest szybszy, mimo, że niesie rower. Ścieżka jest prawie niewidoczną, ciemniejszą smugą wśród liści. Buty ślizgają się, dobrze, że mam kijki. Oby do przełęczy, tam przestrzeń , słońce i widoki.
Nic z tego. Chmury zamykają ją z obu stron. Mam dość. Nie idę wyżej . Jestem zmęczona. Schodzę powoli, czuję jak drżą mi uda.
Wysiłek Piotra nagrodza słońce na szczycie. Wracamy przed zmrokiem . W aucie odwracam głowę, żeby zobaczyć , gdzie byliśmy. W oddali z chmur, jak z fal na piasku, wynurzają się ciemne kopce gór.
Mały Krywań. A więc tam byłam ? Teraz jestem szczęśliwa.
