Pracując wiele lat z młodzieżą wiem, jak ważny jest w wychowaniu i kształtowaniu charakterów wzorzec osobowy, prawdziwy autorytet, z którym młody człowiek mógłby się identyfikować i naśladować go w dorosłym życiu. Młodym ludziom, żyjącym już w wolnej Polsce chcę przybliżyć postaci trzech bohaterów z czasów II wojny światowej, członków organizacji harcerskiej Szare Szeregi, biorących z narażeniem życia udział w akcjach małego i dużego sabotażu na terenie okupowanej Warszawy:
Tadeusz Zawadzki, pseudonim „Zośka” - harcmistrz, drużynowy odznaczony Orderem Virtuti Militari i dwukrotnie Krzyżem Walecznych; był pierwszym komendantem grup szturmowych na terenie Warszawy w stopniu podporucznika AK (jego imię nosił później Batalion Grup Szturmowych, który wsławił się w czasie Powstania Warszawskiego). „Zośka” cieszył się dużym autorytetem wśród kolegów, sprawnie przeprowadzał akcje dużego sabotażu. Zginął w czasie jednej z takich akcji - na posterunek żandarmerii w Sieczycach (koło Warszawy).
Jan Bytnar, pseudonim „Rudy” - był członkiem podziemnej organizacji „Wawer”, harcmistrzem, podporucznikiem AK, dowódcą plutonu grup szturmowych. Aresztowany przez gestapo, torturowany podczas przesłuchania, wykazał się niezwykłą odwagą i niezłomnością nie wydając kolegów. Zginął od ran odbity z transportu przez kolegów w akcji pod Arsenałem.
Aleksy Dawidowski, pseudonim „Alek” - był członkiem podziemnej organizacji „Wawer”; jako dowódca jednej z grup szturmowych został odznaczony Krzyżem Virtuti Militari. Odważny i życzliwy, dążył zawsze do wyznaczonego celu. Razem ze swoimi kolegami „Zośką” i „Rudym” wykonywał zadania małego i dużego sabotażu: wysadzenie niemieckiego pociągu z transportem wojennym w Kraśniku, odbicie z pociągu więźniów przewożonych do Oświęcimia. „Alek” brał udział w akcji Pod Arsenałem 26.03.1943 r., której celem miało być odbicie z transportu aresztowanego przyjaciela „Rudego” przewożonego z Alei Szucha na Pawlak. I chociaż akcja powiodła się, „Alek” został ciężko ranny i zmarł w tym samym dniu co jego przyjaciel „Rudy”, dla którego pomoc przyszła za późno.
Bohaterską postawę „Zośki”, „Rudego” i „Alka” oraz ich towarzyszy z podziemnej organizacji „Wawer” uwiecznił w swej książce „Kamienie na szaniec” Aleksander Kamiński - pisarz i pedagog, założyciel i komendant akcji małego sabotażu, do którego należeli „Alek”, „Zośka” i „Rudy”. Powieść doczekała się też ekranizacji. To historia o odwadze, niezłomności, prawdziwej przyjaźni ludzi, którzy oddali swoje młode życie za Ojczyznę, z których możemy być dumni. Cześć Ich Pamięci!
